100th100.in IN CELEBRATION OF SACHIN TENDULKAR'S 100TH 100!

Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar will be felicitated by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) with 100 gold coins to celebrate his feat of 100 international centuries.

Tendulkar scored his much-awaited 100th ton on March 16 against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup match. MCA had earlier decided to present Tendulkar 100 gold coins however as he was not able to score on his home ground Wankhede Stadium so they couldn’t present.

"The Managing Committee decided to present Tendulkar with 100 gold coins. We have not yet decided the weight of each coin, but the approximate cost would be R28 lakh," Dr PV Shetty, MCA's joint secretary, was quoted as saying by MiD-DAY.

The date of felicitation is yet to be decided by the MCA.
